Definition Appellation

In Savigny Les Beaune, burials have been found in this climate, forming the eastern continuation of the Merovingian cemetery at Les Godeaux. They were covered in lava, with the exception of two sandstone sarcophagi. This is another, much rarer meaning that can be given to the name Lavières in the toponymy of the vineyards.
